Where does your wampum go?

Wampum is the dues we pay to the Cottontails to keep the group running all season. It is separate from what you pay the YMCA for annual registration and per-camp fees. Those YMCA fees cover the campground, firewood, Nation Dinner, and certain weekend activities. Wampum covers everything our tribe takes on itself:
- The YMCA share. First and foremost, $100 per family goes to the YMCA out of our wampum.
- Meals. Saturday breakfast, lunch, Nations apps, and Sunday breakfast. Take on a meal and you get reimbursed from wampum.
- Supplies. Replenishing plates, bowls, utensils, cups, trays, napkins, cleaning supplies, gas, and the rest.
- Equipment. Big-ticket replacements as things wear out. Over the years that has meant the grill, pop-up tents, pots and pans, and trailer upgrades.
- Hosting. We host two campouts and co-host two more this year. The YMCA covers part of it, but we like to go big, and wampum pays the difference.
- Dreamcatcher auction. The YMCA fund that helps families join the program who otherwise could not. We pay for the experience we donate and whatever we win at auction.
Which plan? The annual plan is $500.00 for the whole season, all 9campouts, one payment and you're done. The per-campout plan is $350.00 up front, which covers the first campout, then $50.00 for each campout after that.
If you expect to make more than 3 campouts beyond the first, the annual plan costs less. A full season on the per-campout plan comes to $750.00.
